Failure to Attend
Anyone who fails to attend an appointment will be charged for the time they have wasted. The charge must be paid by or at the next appointment.
Short Notice Cancellation
Anyone who cancels an appointment with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for the appointment time wasted.
This fee may be refunded at the next appointment if:
- 1. The appointment is filled by another person, or
- 2. It is felt that the reason for short notice was valid and unavoidable.
- The appointment is filled by another person, or
- It is felt that the reason for short notice was valid and unavoidable.
Please remember that our reminders sent by email and text are a courtesy service. If these are not received this is not a valid excuse for failure or cancellation.
The reason for these charges is to help prevent unnecessary fee rises for our patients. Lost appointment time costs the practice loss of revenue.
The fee for both will be half the fee for the appointment time booked.
NHS Patients
The practice holds the right to de-register patients who have had multiple Fail to attend or frequent short notice cancellations. There will be communication sent through emails or the staff will be informing patients about this on the phone should such a decision have to be taken.
