HISTORY Smile n Shine, previously known as Cousins Dental Practice is one of the oldest dental practices in the Newbury Town Centre, creating beautiful smiles for the last 70 years. The location of the practice is very convenient, easily accessible by bus and railway. Many of our patients first visited the practice to have dental examinations with Dr. Foster who owned the practice in the 1970s until 1996 after which ownership was transferred to Dr. Jane Cameron and Dr. Barry Cousins. Jane and Barry worked in Newbury since 1985 and decided to retire after around three and a half decades in 2021 and 2022 respectively. In October 2021 the practice was taken over by another dentist couple, Dr. Bhavika Parekh and Dr. Ketan Panwalkar, both having many years of experience in general dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation. Both Bhavika and Ketan aspire to maintain and grow the repute of the practice that has been built over the years. Bhavika and Ketan own another practice in Amesbury. Bhavika regularly practices cosmetic dentistry, anti-wrinkle injections, and dermal fillers.

RECENT CHANGES

The practice has recently gone through a makeover with the focus primarily on providing our patients with well equipped new treatment rooms and a pleasant ambience. Some of the areas have been rebuilt, and the technology completely renewed to match the current advancements. State-of-the-art materials and newly designed furniture to create a completely new look for our practice space which will provide a very pleasant experience to our patrons. With the friendly relaxed environment for your dental care, we can’t wait to welcome our patients again.

OUR SERVICES

The makeover of the practice is not just in the ambience, but we have also added new services for our loyal patrons. Conservative, preventative, and cosmetic services were always  available but we now have extended our patient care by including Invisalign, Smile fast veneers,  Aligners, Implants, Facial Aesthetics (Anti wrinkle injections and Fillers), and intravenous sedation (for very nervous and anxious patients).

We currently have an NHS contract, Denplan Essential, Deplan Kids and Denplan Care. We have recently introduced a 0% APR interest-free finance* option at our practice. We take part in clinical governance and have quality assurance systems in place to help maintain our high quality of patient care. Families are always welcome to join our fast-growing happy patient list.
